Rich Sokolow is a songwriter and Executive Producer for numerous music and multi-media projects. His music has been heard on TV, radio, and in the movies. Rich most recently worked with American Idol season eleven finalist Erika Van Pelt as a principal songwriter and Executive Producer for her debut album, "My Independence". The album was nominated for two New England Music Awards including "Album of the Year". His work with NYC indie artist Clara Lofaro landed a number of high profile placements, including “Just Smile” which was featured in a national TV commercial for Georgia-Pacific’s Vanity Fair Napkins. Rich garnered two song placements on Lifetime Network's hit reality series "Dance Moms". "Walk Through the Storm", performed by Erika Van Pelt, and "Send Me a Lifeline", performed by Clara Lofaro were prominently featured on dance routines starring Maddie Ziegler (of Sia and "Chandelier" fame). Rich's songs can also be heard on episodes of "Inside Amy Schumer" and "Entertainment Tonight". Rich's work with his primary songwriting partner and co-producer Peter Wostrel are a key to these projects success. This duo created the soundtrack for “Culinary Encounters” featuring celebrity chef Johnny Ciao that aired on New England’s largest cable network, NECN. Their songs were also included as part of the soundtrack in a production by movie producer David Rubin (I am Sam, Crank). Rich frequently co-writes with a number of talented songwriters and musicians from the Boston and New York City areas, including: Peter Wostrel, Clara Lofaro, Hadassah Zeltzer, and Erika Van Pelt.
